FAQs as a Seller

We work on “No Sale No Fee” model.

  1. For Leasehold sale we charge 3-7% of premium achieved or £3,500, whichever is greater.
  2. For Freehold sale our fees is normally 1-3% of agreed price with minimum fee of £4,000.
  3. For commercial landlords our fees is 10% of the annual rent acheived.

Because of the following reasons:

  1. We are not a broker. We are a “Food Business Broker”.
  2. We specialise in selling only “Food Businesses”.
  3. No upfront cost for you. No hidden charges. Risk free. No binding contract.
  4. No Sale No Fee. Pay only when we find a buyer for you.

No, we do not charge any upfront marketing fee. Marketing is completely free of cost.

We use 3 types of marketing tactics to find buyers:

  1. We advertise your business on online selling platforms like Businesses for Sale & Rightbiz.
  2. Our own website has monthly visitors above 3,000 & growing everyday.
  3. We send monthly email to over 5,000 (growing everyday) interested buyers.

We claim our fees only after completion of sale and in two different ways?

  1. We normally secure a holding deposit (10% of the agreed premium) from the buyer. And once the transaction is completed, we deduct our fees and balance is either paid to you or your solicitor.
  2. If we do not secure the holding deposit, we will claim our fees from your solicitor.

The answer is, it depends. In some cases we have been able to find buyers within two months and others 6-12 months.

We target to complete the sale within 8-10 weeks of deposit received. However, we heavily rely on solicitors of all parties. Once the transactions are with the solicitors, we as an agent have minimal impact. Hence, if all parties are proactive and chase their solicitors regularly, we can certainly close the deal within 10 weeks.

No, currently we do not provide those services. However, we do work with reliable companies and we can recommend.
